  • Helping local communities set up environmental improvement projects with advice, fundraising and practical help;
  • Advising and assisting landowners who wish to improve the wildlife and/or heritage value of their land;
  • Providing opportunities for voluntary conservation work;
  • And promoting environmental education for all ages.
  • We work in partnership with local councils, national agencies and the business and voluntary sectors. The Greensand Trust's 'framework for action' is a document that describes the aims of the Trust and the principles it embraces to achieve its objectives. It also briefly outlines the resources of the Trust area: its landscape, wildlife and historic heritage and its rights of way and access areas, as well as the way that priorities are established within the different disciplines, and discussion of threats and opportunities. It then sets out to propose objectives for the Trust.
    It is intended that this document will provide the framework within which the annual work programme is produced, but it is not intended to be a straitjacket preventing innovation. This framework will be reviewed every four years.
