This is an area of mainly conifer plantation woodland with some areas of semi-ancient natural woodland, subject of a public access agreement between landowners and local councils. Danesborough Hill (scheduled ancient monument) and Wavendon Ponds (SSSI) exist within the site. The site is subject to bylaws. Horse riders and cyclists are only allowed on permissive routes when in possession of a valid permit and suitable safety equipment
