Whilst the public has free access along public rights of way such as footpaths and bridleways, some of the areas managed by the Greensand Trust offer additional access for cyclists and horse riders.
Access to these additional routes requires a permit.  One of the reasons for this is the need to protect the user and landowner against third-party liability.  The rules differ for the various schemes because of the requirements of the particular landowner and the approach to matters such as insurance so please check the individual rules carefully.

Rushmere, Oak Wood and Rammamere Heath: Permits are available for Individual Cycling and club cycling in Rushmere and Oak Wood and for Horse Riding in Rushmere, Oak Wood and on Rammamere Heath (including Kings Wood).

Car parking facilities are provided in Rushmere (road entrances off Linslade Road and Brickhill Road in Heath & Reach). There is £2 exit fee per vehicle. An annual pass is available for £35 including £5 deposit. For more information click here.

Aspley Woods:  Cyclists and horse riders with permits are allowed on permissive routes by means of an Access Agreement between Milton Keynes & Central Bedfordshire Councils and the landowners, Bedford Estates.
