Make an autumnal wreath – Half-Term Family Activity

Two sessions available: 9.30-12.30 or 1.30-4.30 - please make sure you purchase a ticket for the session you want to attend.

Join The Greensand Trust and local craftsman Guy Lambourne of Wassledine for a visit to Maulden Wood and an enjoyable and productive craft session at the Trust’s Working Woodlands Centre where you'll learn to make a stunning Autumnal Wreath.

You will start by enjoying a short walk in the wood with Guy and the Trust’s Ecologist Sue Raven, to collect materials and learn about the wood and its wildlife. You’ll then make a base for your own wreath using locally-grown willow and decorate it with the materials collected earlier, under the expert guidance of our tutor Guy. And of course you get to take your quality creation home – it can easily be refreshed and used again for the festive season!

- Home made cakes and plenty of tea, coffee and hot chocolate will oil the wheels of your creativity.

- No experience is necessary, and children of 8 years or older are welcome (accompanied by a responsible adult).

- Cost - £15/adult, £5/child (up to 15 years)

- Participants must be 8 years or over, under 16s must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

- Maximum number 10 per session
