Lantra Awards Technical Award in Basic Tree Survey and Inspection

This one day training course is aimed at anyone involved in tree or woodland management with responsibility for trees in the course of their work or voluntary activities.  Led by highly experienced arboriculturalist and trainer Anthony Harley, you will be taught how to recognise a hazardous tree, determine the level of risk and decide how to deal with it.

Specialist knowledge is not required, and the course provides the opportunity to gain a recognised LANTRA Technical Award.

The training will involve classroom-based theory and a site visit to build on this learning.

This course covers:

  • legal and safety implications of hazardous trees
  • Health and Safety while carrying out basic tree survey and inspection
  • recognise hazardous trees
  • determine the level of risk
  • decide on appropriate course of action
  • collect and maintain adequate information
  • recognise your own limitations

Assessment is via the training only based on theory and practical work.

Attendees are asked to notify the Greensand Trust of any mobility problems or medical conditions that could impair their own health and safety prior to attending the course.

Attendees are also asked to notify the Greensand Trust of any dietary or other requirements.

Cost = £195/person.  This includes all LANTRA accreditation costs plus lunch and refreshments.
