This session is specifically aimed at families with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disability) as part of Central Bedfordshire Council's SEND Summer Taster Programme.  While we welcome everyone to our activities, this session is aimed at people with particular needs including those with autistic spectrum disorder and learning disabilities. All participants must be accompanied by a responsible parent/carer.

Our popular Bug Lab event returns to Flitwick Wood this summer - a chance for you and children with special education needs and disabilities to hunt for mini-beasts with experts on hand and do a fun bug-related craft activity.

  • All children must be accompanied by an adult
  • Not suitable for under 4s
  • Please wear long sleeves, trousers and suitable footwear
  • Outdoor event with little shelter
  • No dogs please
  • Stay for as long as you like during session
  • While equipment and guides are provided, the session involves group work and sharing of materials
