Kicking off our Big Summer Weekend of fundraising, come and join us on The Meadow for a relaxed evening of local music talent raising funds for Rushmere Country Park. This is a family-friendly event with food stalls and beer tent and fun for the kids.

We're working hard to bring you the best possible event - once again we'll have a real stage and improved sound system which we're sure will add to your enjoyment of the event.

We're delighted to announce this year's great line up of local music talent:

Safe Word

Safe Word came together last year to perform the music on Garry Randall's two albums "I Didn't Get Where I Am Today" and the new release "Babel". The band features Garry on lead vocals and rhythm guitar; Pete Hartley on bass, Jon Mitchell on lead guitar and David Norman on drums. They will be playing all over the South of England in 2019 serving up modern rock with a hint of Elvis Costello, The Who and John Martyn all rolled into one.

Gwen and the Good Thing

Gwen and the Good Thing are an Alt-Pop group from the UK, founded by singer/songwriter Gwen Taylor and producer Chris Norrish. Described by BBC Music as "bright, breezy and addictive alternative pop", with "lush and well-crafted arrangement(s)". Expect anthemic choruses and infectious rhythms, Gwen’s soaring vocals interlocking with a fresh, experimental musical palette. They seriously impressed us when they performed at our Local Food Festival last year.

Noah’s Cape

Noah’s Cape is a three piece folk band comprised of Linda Watkins, Marian Wedley and Mark Niel.  Three talented singer songwriters combine to deliver unique sets of traditional and original songs with innovative arrangements and trademark three-part harmonies. Their songbook covers a wide range of material from embellished traditional folk to classic pop covers all delivered with verve, a poetic edge and wit.

Orchestral Manoeuvres in Jazz

A 19 piece jazz orchestra playing a variety of arrangements from classic swing to modern jazz from the likes of Maynard Ferguson, Phil Collins, Stan Kenton, Frank Sinatra and many others.
