Rushmere Country Park

Horse riding trails at Rushmere are now OPEN. Aspley Woods horse trails are also OPEN.


Main entrance car park (opening times vary - please see here) with provision for horse boxes daily subject to space being available. Access into the park on horseback also via public bridleway.

The Horsebox parking area at Rushmere is OPEN - horse riders with horse boxes can park in the main car park weekdays and weekends subject to space being available.

Longslade Lane car park at Aspley Woods is OPEN as follows:

  • January, February, November and December: 7am – 4.30pm
  • March and October: 7am – 6pm
  • April, May, June, July, August and September: 7am – 8pm

Horse riders are welcome at Rushmere Country Park and Aspley Woods. You can access Rushmere on horseback along the public bridleway from Great Brickhill free of charge but riding our horse-riding trails requires a Greensand Horseriding Pass.

There's a dedicated parking area for vehicles with horse boxes at the far end of the main car park (follow the signs) at Rushmere. You can also access the park free of charge on horseback along the public bridleway from Great Brickhill.

If you wish to use our network of horse-riding trails, other than the Public Bridleway, you will need a Greensand Horse Riding Pass available here
