Rushmere Country Park

Please note: The Big Slide and the Big Swing has been removed for your safety.

Here at Rushmere we’re big believers in the power of Natural Play and our woodland is perfect for this so we’ve developed a number of “play spots” around the site which you can discover as part of your visit. They are not part of a set trail but dotted around for you to find as you explore the site.

Download the park leaflet to find them!

The seven play spots, marked on the map found in the Rushmere Leaflet, are there to enhance your visit and encourage you to get involved with the natural environment.  Our play spots are located as follows:

  • Toddler play area next to the Tree Tops Café (under 6s only) -  OPEN
  • Rushmere view point stepping stones
  • Rushmere balance beam on Lord’s Hill path
  • Rushmere wobbly chain bridge in Heron Valley
  • Stockgrove Nature Discovery Area

Before allowing your children to use any of our play equipment, for their safety please be aware of our Play Policy.

When using our main play spots at the Herons' View Visitor Centre please be aware of the following:

  • Please note age limits (see above)
  • All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult
  • No dogs allowed
  • No scooters, skateboards or bikes
  • Do not drop litter – please use bins provided
  • No beverages to be taken into the play area
