The Greensand Trust is seeking a Daytime Chef with a passion for fresh, quality food to join our team at Tree Tops.

You will have the opportunity to develop the catering experience for visitors to Rushmere Country Park. Providing a quality service in keeping with the facility's superb location, servicing internal and external covers, which also benefit from fantastic views across Heron Valley.

You will help lead on our ethos of Quality, Fresh, and Local, be responsible for the day to day running of the kitchen and deliver to the highest standards of food preparation and customer service.

In line with our charitable objectives, your work will also raise funds to conserve, protect and enhance the environment for the benefit of both people and wildlife.

Benefits

Salary:  £10.25 - £10.65 per hour (inclusive of holiday entitlement) depending on experience. 

This will be paid in 12 monthly instalments, normally on or by the 20th of each month in payment for that calendar month.  Your salary will periodically be reviewed and is subject to assessment.

Prospects: Opportunities for new facilities and roles to develop within the Trust. 

Hours of work:  There are no fixed working hours applicable to your employment. Your normal working hours are based upon your working a 52-week year (1 April to 31 March) on a zero hours contract based on a minimum of 20 hours per week (flexible part-time post), Sunday to Saturday.  No overtime will be paid but time off in lieu is given. You may negotiate your own flexible work hours and rota, within reason, with your line manager and colleagues so long as it is not to the detriment of your work or the Service.

Annual leave entitlement: You are entitled to 28 days working days holiday in each complete holiday year inclusive of statutory and public holidays, or pro rata in accordance with hours worked.

Pension: If you are eligible, The Greensand Trust will auto-enrol you into a pension scheme, in accordance with the Greensand Trust pension auto-enrolment obligations.

Full details of the scheme will be provided when you are enrolled, including the minimum contribution level that you will be required to make and your right to opt out if you do not want to join the scheme. While participating in the scheme, you agree to worker pension contributions being deducted from your salary.

Vehicle & travel requirements: A mileage allowance is given for travel for work purposes in your own vehicle or by bicycle. 

Uniform/dress code: A uniform will be provided which you will be expected to wear when on duty.
