Rushmere Country Park

In the third of a series of Habitat Management Workshops coming to Rushmere and other sites we manage, join our Ranger Team and Ecologist for a workshop looking at the importance of woodland for nature conservation and its management.

What you will do 

During the morning there will be the opportunity to assist in practical habitat management work in Kings Wood National Nature Reserve. This will be followed in the afternoon with a walk to look at the ecological value of the woodland habitats within Kings Wood, and we'll discuss their management and monitoring requirements.

  • Meet in the car park of the Stockgrove Entrance of Rushmere Country Park, Brickhill Road, Heath and Reach at 9.45am for a 10am start.
  • Bring drink and a packed lunch and wear old clothes and strong footwear for the practical task
  • Tools and gloves will be provided

Cost of workshop - £20 per person (free of charge to existing GST volunteers). Booking required as spaces limited.
