We're looking for an enthusiastic and experienced individual to develop, coordinate and deliver high quality visitor facilities to enhance the visitor experience and maximise revenue generation and engagement opportunities for The Greensand Trust - based at Rushmere Country Park in Heath and Reach.

You will need significant experience in implementing and developing business strategies to deliver high quality visitor facilities, revenue generation and positive public engagement.  Your role will seek to ensure we develop a network of sensitive and sustainable facilities, which support and resource the wider landscape, protecting, conserving and enhancing this environment for the benefit of all it communities.

You must have excellent communication and management skills, be highly organised and skilled at motivating teams and getting the job done in a busy and challenging environment.  You must have a keen interest in countryside and be prepared to use your talents and skills for its benefit.

You will join the Trust's Management Team and report to the Chief Executive and the Director of Development.

PRACTICAL DETAILS:

Salary: £26,000 – £29,000 depending on experience

Contract: Annualised. There are no fixed working hours applicable to your employment but instead hours are set on a rota, this will include a significant amount of weekend and bank holiday and occasional evening working where necessary. Your normal working hours are based upon you working 2,080 hours per 52-week calendar year (1 January to 31 December) based on 40 hours per week, Sunday to Saturday.

Out of these hours, you are entitled to 28 days’ holiday (including statutory and public holidays), which equates to 224 hours’ paid holiday, which are deducted from this total. You are therefore contracted to work 1,856 hours per year (your ‘Net Hours’).

No overtime will be paid. 

Pension: A Stakeholder Pension is provided.

Vehicle & travel requirements: A certain amount of travel will be required as part of your work between sites and to the Trust’s other offices.  A mileage allowance is given for travel for work purposes in your own vehicle or by bicycle.

Location: Primarily based at Rushmere Country Park, but this role relates to all Greensand Trust facilities
