Celebrating the life of Richard Woolnough

The Greensand Trust has set up a fund in memory of its co-founder Richard Woolnough who has sadly passed away.

Richard led the Greensand Project for five years before using his powers of persuasion to establish The Greensand Trust in 1999 with Peter Smith (the charity's chairman) which he then led for another nine years until he retired. 

Richard was a true champion of the environment, both inspiring and unorthodox -  his vision created far more than The Greensand Trust as he helped shape the local environment by acting both strategically and with others, in the interest of both the environment and local communities.

The Greensand Trust would like to celebrate his life and work by establishing a fund dedicated in his name, to enable his work to continue for the benefit of the Greensand Area and its communities.
