**COVID-19 Update: Rushmere main car park has re-opened 9am-5pm daily but the Stockgrove car park and all facilities at both sites remain CLOSED.**

Following advice from the Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (SAGE) that the risk of COVID-19 infection outside is significantly lower than inside, the Government has updated the rules so that, as well as exercise, people in England can now also spend more time outdoors subject to:

  • not meeting up with any more than one person from outside your household; – this means you should not play team sports, except with members of your own household.
  • continued compliance with social distancing guidelines to remain two metres (6ft) away from people outside your household;
  • good hand hygiene, particularly with respect to shared surfaces;
  • follow site guidance and signage and one-way systems where provided

Whilst Rushmere Country Park is open, all visitor centres and associated play areas and toilets remain CLOSED. The safety of the public, volunteers and staff is our priority and any re-opening of on-site facilities will need to be gradual and phased over time.

However the main car park at Rushmere County Park will re-open from Thursday 14 May 9AM - 5PM. To remain open safely and maintain social distancing we will need everyone to take care, stay alert and follow the guidance provided.

Your patience and understanding will also be needed as parking facilities will initially operate on far less than full capacity.  Stockgrove car park will remain closed, but this and other facilities are being reviewed on an ongoing basis, to ensure they are made available as soon as is manageable and assessed as safe to do so.
