We're recruiting a Seasonal Assistant Chef for Tree Tops at Rushmere - part-time, minimum 16 hours per week, temporary over the Summer Period. Includes weekend working. Opportunity to develop the role further beyond the Summer for the right candidate.

The Greensand Trust is looking for a professional Chef to provide additional support to our catering team. Our ethos is fresh, quality and local and you will be working with the catering team to deliver a quality experience to visitors. 

Working at our café facility at Rushmere Country Park with magnificent views across Heron Valley, working with our kitchen team, you will have a unique opportunity to help develop our offer to visitors to match that of this superb location.

The ideal chef will have to have high standards and experience in catering and be confident that they can help this relatively new facility achieve its potential.  The Facility is also essential in raising vital revenue to ensure that the Park is maintained and managed sensitively and for the benefit of both people and wildlife. 

You must thrive in a busy kitchen, be experienced in day to day kitchen management, waste sheets, C.O.S.H.H. and ordering. Excellent communication and team building skills are essential. 

We can offer the post on a zero hours contract with a minimum of 16 hours. You must be prepared to work on weekends and bank holidays, have worked in a professional kitchen for at least two years and have relevant qualifications in food hygiene and food safety.
