Training, Networking & Skills Officer We're seeking an experienced communicator with training and skills development experience to perform this full-time, 12 month fixed term role working for the Greensand Country Landscape Partnership, which represents a distinctive landscape area across Central Bedfordshire. We hope to extend the role into a permanent position beyond this pilot. This networking role will seek to work with Partners to help identify what training and support is needed and then coordinate and deliver a range of training courses which will help us raise awareness of the value of the Greensand Country landscape and build capacity for the sustainable management of the Greensand Country Area by volunteers and professionals. While volunteering is well established in the Greensand Country area, there is great potential to provide useful support and create networks across the various groups, to enable them to get to know the wider landscape and the context of their work within it, to help champion Greensand Country and to enhance the skills that are required to ensure the stewardship and promotion of the landscape for the long term. Context: You will be busy working as part of a supportive and friendly team at The Greensand Trust and by extension the wider Greensand Country team. You will have a level of autonomy and will be encouraged to use your own initiative to help develop this role into one we hope will demonstrate its value to enable The Greensand Trust to establish it as a more permanent role within its activities and as value to the area and the future Partnership. You will build on the successes of the Trust’s “Working Woodlands” training courses, expanding this training offer across habitat and other themes. You will have a passion for landscape heritage, exceptional communication, project management skills, and the capability to bring together and engage a range of people in the activities and objectives of the Landscape Partnership.
