Rushmere Country Park About Map Facilities Find us Walks and trails Learning activities News Events Bookings Weddings Support About us Join our team Visitor Services Officer We're recruiting a part-time Visitor Services Officer at Rushmere Country Park to engage with and inform our visitors. As part of our Visitor Engagement Team you will work with other staff and volunteers to provide services to visitors. You will pro-actively engage with our visitors ensuring they feel welcome and recognise how much we value them. You will liaise closely with other Trust teams including our rangers, education team and cafe team to ensure the Trust provides a consistent and coordinated approach to visitor engagement. You must have excellent visitor engagement / customer service skills and use these skills to help maximise the experience for visitors. It will help if you have experience of working in a customer-facing role, such as retail or tourism, and be up for the challenge and demands of a busy visitor facility at peak times. You must be available to work weekends and able to cover occasional weekdays. You will be required to work bank holidays, school holidays and regular weekends. Salary: flexible contract £8.91 per hour + holiday pay pro rata Contract Period: This post is offered as part-time. Initially a fixed term 6 month contract with option to extend further subject to review. Prospects: Potential to develop into a permanent role. Hours of work: Part-time Annualised. We currently have a minimum requirement of 17 hours per week. Working Friday and Saturday with flexibility to work occasional Sundays or weekdays to cover holidays or busy periods and additional hours when required. Bank Holiday and school holiday working is expected. No overtime rate will be paid. Annual leave entitlement: You will be entitled to the equivalent of 20 days annual leave (pro rata) plus public holidays (or days off in lieu of public holidays worked). Leave needs to be approved by your line manager and should avoid peak periods where possible.
