Walk the Ridge: Led Greensand Ridge Walks

As part of the Greensand Country Festival, we are running led walks along the Greensand Ridge Route. The walks will be broken down into 3 manageable sections (no more than 14 miles) and will take place on Saturdays.

Catering Team

The Trust has developed The Tree Tops Café at Rushmere Country Park as a fundraising enterprise.
Biodiversity & Heritage Team

This team provides specialist guidance, management input, as well as survey and monitoring delivery, in relation to biodiversity and heritage features / projects.
Visitor Services, Community Engagement & Volunteering

Coordinating and delivering high quality visitor services and community engagement.
Development Team

This is a Trust-wide team, which develops new projects and opportunities, based on our understanding of the local environment.
Education Team

Inspiring people of all ages to engage with their local natural environment through events and activities, the Education Team works with local schools and groups to deliver programmes linked to the National Curriculum and offers support and advice to enhance learning.

About Rushmere Country Park

A great place to discover nature and enjoy the outdoors with over 400 acres of woodland, heathland and meadows to enjoy - a fabulous site for walking, cycling, horse riding and wildlife with restaurant, takeaway, visitor centre and events.
Tree Tops Cafe

Our Tree Tops Restaurant and Deck open daily for breakfast, lunches, drinks and snacks - delicious food with an amazing view! You can also hire it for your own event!
Cycling

Cyclists are welcome at Rushmere Country Park and Woburn Woods. Free access via public rights of way and our new Family Trail at Rushmere, plus specialist cross country and downhill trails for use with the purchase of a Greensand Cycling Pass.
Parking at Rushmere

Pay for parking before you leave by app (use our free WiFi) at our two payment machines or in the visitor centre when open.
Dog walking

Responsible dog owners are welcome at Rushmere Country Park within designated areas - both on and off the lead. For everyone's safety dog walkers must abide by our on/off lead rules and pick up after their dog.

Ampthill Park

Ampthill Park has a bit of everything - tremendous views from The Greensand Ridge, a fascinating heritage from Henry VIII to Capability Brown, and a diverse collection of flora and fauna. Working closely with Ampthill Town Council, The Greensand Trust helps manage Ampthill Park and other sites around Ampthill.
