Join us for the seventh in our spring and summer walk programme along the Greensand Ridge Walk. 2026 marks the 40th anniversary of Bedfordshire's premier walking route, and to celebrate this we have a programme of walks along the Greensand Ridge from May to September. Distances vary from 3-9 miles per walk, and it's a great way to discover the walk if you haven't walked it before, or a different way to enjoy it if you're familiar with the route.

This walk will be an 8 mile route along the Weneslawe Walk. The route will begin at The King's Reach in Biggleswade, through Biggleswade Common and Sandy Heath through Potton and Sutton, finishing back at The King's Reach. Meet/park at The King's Reach pub.

More information:

  • Dogs are welcome if on short leads and they are capable of walking the distance.
  • Unfortunately, this route is not suitable for buggies or wheelchairs.
  • The walk will go through typical Greensand Country landscapes, hence toilets will be few and far between.
  • Under 18s welcome if accompanied by an adult.
