Help Rushmere buy and restore neighbouring Shire Oak Heath

The Greensand Trust is appealing for help to raise funds to purchase the remains of Shire Oak Heath, a 17 acre site neighbouring Rushmere Country Park, so that it can join the park and be restored to a thriving, well-maintained area of heathland. Its addition to Rushmere will also create an opportunity for a safer cycle route into the park.Read more

Rushmere Country Park car park charges set to rise

Parking fees have remained at £2 per day at Rushmere Country Park since the park opened in 2011, with funds raised from grants to develop the facilities available to visitors, but to support the increasing cost of managing the park and its visitor centre, play areas and other facilities, local environmental charity The Greensand Trust needs to raise the charge with effect from 1 June 2017 to £3.Read more
