Purpose of the Project

Reconnecting with our past is seeking to restore key elements of the historic landscape of Rushmere, both in terms of features and views, in a way that is complementary to the existing use as a Country Park and its biodiversity value. 

Features will be restored and revealed, with a comprehensive approach to site interpretation and engagement supporting the restoration work.

Progress

Following the submission of an initial enquiry, we are working with partners at Central Bedfordshire Council towards a stage one bid to the Heritage Lottery, Parks for People Fund.
