Longslade Lane car park at Aspley Woods is OPEN as follows:

• January, February, November and December: 7am – 4.30pm
• March and October: 7am – 6pm
• April, May, June, July, August and September: 7am – 8pm

Provision for horse box parking subject to availability.

Greensand 6 Month Horse Riding Pass - Aspley Woods

Please Note: As of January 2023 we are reducing the length of all activity passes issued for Woburn from 12 months to 6 months for the foreseeable future, whilst we work with Bedford Estates to identify a sustainable means of providing this access following the withdrawal of Local Authority support. The 6-month permits are priced proportionately to the annual rate and day passes will also remain on sale. All income raised from passes supports this access, so thank you for your contribution.

The 6 month pass offers great savings to regular users or we have the Day Pass option for those who prefer to pay as they ride.

Whilst horse riders have some limited access via suitable rights of way such as bridleways, additional permissive routes are offered to riders who hold a valid Greensand Horse Pass which can be purchased below for either an individual or family* group and is valid of one year from the date of purchase. Alternatively we offer a Day Pass.

The Pass is required to protect the user and landowner against third-party liability and helps to fund the maintenance and the safety checks of these paths. The rules differ for the various schemes due to matters such as insurance so please check the individual terms and conditions carefully. Please note purchase of a Greensand Horse riding Pass entitles the holder to ride permissive horse trails at Aspley Woods – it does not guarantee or include access to horse box parking.

To apply you must hold adequate insurance to cover the horse and rider with public liability indemnity of at least £2,000,000

The Gift Aid option includes a small donation to our charity but, as VAT is not applicable on a Gift Aid purchase, we can claim a further 25p for every £1 you contribute. Otherwise VAT is payable and included in the price of all standard passes, but we receive no additional benefit from the government - as we operate on a not for profit basis your support is essential to our work. 

*The Family pass is valid for up to 5 family members (maximum 2 adults, 3 children). 

Once purchased you will receive your pass as an order confirmation by email - we no longer issue physical passes so please carry this on site as proof of purchase.
