Join our volunteer Mike Bird on a walk to discover the wildlife of neighbouring Rammamere Heath - a site of Special Scientific Interest managed by The Greensand Trust on behalf of landowner Tarmac - and neighbouring Kings Wood.

Heron art workshop

Another chance to join us for a morning art workshop at Rushmere Country Park run by professional artist and tutor Jay Nolan-Latchford from Reasons to be Cheerful in Leighton Buzzard. Suitable for everyone from beginners to experienced painters – you’ll paint one of Rushmere’s fabulous herons.

Our 2019 season of Tree Tops Talks kicks off with a subject very close to our hearts – an introduction to herons with a little heron history, their breeding, biology and eating habits and a closer look at the herons of Rushmere, as we await their imminent return here to nest.

Sculpture Trail

Ideal for families all year round is our very popular Sculpture Trail, an access for all path accessed from the car park outside the Visitor Centre. Find the fairy doors, play on our wooden sculptures and – a real must – have a photo taken in the Giant’s Chair!
