Filming

Rushmere Country Park is proud to be the home of Sky 1's popular game show Wild Things, which ran for three series up to 2017 - you can see the Wild Things gate at the top of the Sculpture Trail. Read more

Oak Wood Sculpture Trail

The Oak Wood Sculpture Trail, made possible partly thanks to funding from the Tesco “Bags of Help” Scheme, was officially opened in August 2018. The extension to the existing Sculpture Trail aims to encourage wider exploration of the site in the north-western part of the park and includes sculptures by sculptor Ian Freemantle. Read more

Dog walking

Responsible dog owners are welcome to walk their dogs at designated areas within the park - both on and off the lead - and we have a dedicated dog walking area. For the safety of everyone please follow our rules regarding our on and off lead areas. Read more

Horse riding

We welcome horse riders at Rushmere Country Park - where we provide a dedicated parking area for horse boxes - and Aspley Woods. You can access Rushmere on horseback along the public bridleway from Great Brickhill. If you wish to use our network of horse-riding trails, other than the Public Bridleway, you will need to purchase a Greensand Pass. Read more

Cycling

We welcome cyclists at Rushmere Country Park and Aspley Woods. Whilst the public has free access along public rights of way such as footpaths and bridleways, some of the areas managed by The Greensand Trust offer additional access for cyclists and horse riders with the purchase of a Greensand Pass. Tree Tops Cafe

Come and enjoy refreshments from local suppliers of quality produce at the Tree Tops Cafe with stunning views over Heron Valley. Open daily from 10am - 4pm. Read more

Sculpture Trail

Ideal for families all year round is our very popular Sculpture Trail, an access for all path accessed from the car park outside the Visitor Centre. Find the fairy doors, play on our wooden sculptures and – a real must – have a photo taken in the Giant’s Chair! Read more

Play Spots

Here at Rushmere we’re big believers in the power of Natural Play and our woodland is perfect for this so we’ve developed a number of “play spots” around the site which you can discover as part of your visit. They are not part of a set trail but dotted around for you to find as you explore the site. Read more
