We’re pleased to report all tree works on site has now been completed in time for the bird-nesting season – this will improve the viewpoints around the lakes as well as creating a more diverse habitat for the wildlife. Our hardy volunteers have been clearing up all the debris left behind and have begun installation of fencing to make the site more secure.

Now that Spring has finally arrived, we are seeing far more wildlife – recently we’ve spotted little egrets, badger tracks, mandarin ducks, red kites, tufty ducks, Canada geese, great crested grebes, cormorants, stoats, coots and mallards to name but a few. Summer migrant birds are starting to arrive to the site – listen out and you might hear the distinctive sound of the cuckoo!
