Horse riding

We welcome horse riders at Rushmere Country Park - where we provide a dedicated parking area for horse boxes - and Aspley Woods. You can access Rushmere on horseback along the public bridleway from Great Brickhill. If you wish to use our network of horse-riding trails, other than the Public Bridleway, you will need to purchase a Greensand Pass.Read more


We welcome cyclists at Rushmere Country Park and Aspley Woods. Whilst the public has free access along public rights of way such as footpaths and bridleways, some of the areas managed by The Greensand Trust offer additional access for cyclists and horse riders with the purchase of a Greensand Pass.Read more

Aspley Woods

This is an area of mainly conifer plantation woodland with some areas of semi-ancient natural woodland, subject of a public access agreement between landowners and local councils. Danesborough Hill (scheduled ancient monument) and Wavendon Ponds (SSSI) exist within the site.Read more

The Oak Wood Sculpture Trail, made possible partly thanks to funding from the Tesco “Bags of Help” Scheme, was officially opened in August 2018.
