Schools

Education, Learning and Events

The Greensand Trust has a dedicated education team working to develop and deliver a range of educational and awareness-raising projects.

We work with schools, youth groups, uniformed organisations, play groups and adult groups.

A number of interactive, curriculum-linked education programmes are available along with fun nature walks and activities for a range of ages. Programmes include Tales for Tots, Sensational Seasons, Map Skills and Habitat Explorers.

The Greensand Trust has a wealth of local knowledge to offer and encourages interaction with different green spaces and outdoor learning opportunities.

    Our Tree Tops Restaurant and Deck open daily 8am-6pm from April for breakfast, lunches, drinks and snacks - delicious food with an amazing view! You can also hire it for your own event!

    Pay for parking before you leave by app (use our free WiFi) at our two payment machines or in the visitor centre when open.

    Responsible dog owners are welcome at Rushmere Country Park within designated areas - both on and off the lead. For everyone's safety dog walkers must abide by our on/off lead rules and pick up after their dog.

    Ampthill Park has a bit of everything - tremendous views from The Greensand Ridge, a fascinating heritage from Henry VIII to Capability Brown, and a diverse collection of flora and fauna. Working closely with Ampthill Town Council, The Greensand Trust helps manage Ampthill Park and other sites around Ampthill.
